During the twenty years he served in the U.S. Navy, John Schwaebler sought to compliment the valuable skills he learned in the military by attending undergraduate and then graduate classes oriented towards a business career. By the time he retired from the Navy in 1999, he had not only acquired a bachelor’s degree in Technology Management but a graduate degree in Business Management. He also opened Wind & Sea Taekwondo in 1987, now one of the oldest and most respected martial arts schools in Hampton Roads. John brings an admirable blend of practical business skills and academic achievement to Affordable Custom Decks which has helped the company become the leading custom deck, porch and home addition contractor in the Hampton Roads area. John has been recognized for his integrity and business successes through appointments as a director on the Advisory Board of Gateway Bank & Trust and as the President of the Courthouse Rotary Club. John also serves as Treasurer of the First Settlers Region of the Porsche Club of America. Within his industry, John has gained the respect of his peers, as reflected in his appointment as one of twelve national advisors for Timbertech, one of the largest composite decking manufacturers in the world. Affordable Custom Decks has been named “Best of the Beach, Chesapeake, Newport News and Williamsburg” for six straight years by Virginian Pilot readers.
John and his wife Regina live in Virginia Beach along with three of their five children. His easy accessibility as a long time resident of the community and his hands-on approach has made Affordable Custom Decks the right choice for decks, porches and home additions in the Hampton Roads area.
